OUR CIRCUMSTANCES ARE UNPRECEDENTED
Sure, on some days you'll need a surfski, but our climate is such that we're able to paddle year round.
On any given day you'll find at least a handful of us out there, paddling, connecting, striving—and stepping back into our lives through a brighter door.

We're so much more than a paddling club. Our unoffical strapline is; 'First we paddle, then we braai'.
On every Tuesday of the year, come rain, wind or shine—even lightning, sometimes—we hold the now famous 'Midmar Dice'.
For those who choose to compete, it's a proper battleground of wills, skills, fitness, speed, strength—and occasional skulduggery! However, for most of us, it's an opportunity to let go, have fun, connect—and grow in health, fitness and community.
And once the dice is done, it's down to the serious business of braaing and bonding. There's even a fire inside the pub on cold evenings.
The dice has become such an institution, that many of us schedule our lives around the next week's 'paddle and braai'!
Incredibly, we're also home to the World Class 'Midlands Paddling School', run by Kyle, Rachel, Lorna and Bongani. They're doing a phenomenal job of bringing young people—and some not so young(!)—into our sport.
Many will go on to enjoy paddling for the rest of their lives. And then there are those who are already competing on the world stage.
So, join us; you're very welcome. All of our lives will be the richer for it...
Canoe Club Apparel
Over the past few years we've gradually been creating a Midmar Canoe Club brand. So far, this has been limited to quick-dry paddling shirts and vests, but it's now expanding to include paddling and lifestyle caps, and T-shirts. And more to come...
